Mississippi’s southern border is The Gulf of Mexico. On the north side of the world’s longest manmade sand beach, you will find a plethora of parks and picnic spots loved by local families and visitors alike.
The Susquehanna River flowing beside my childhood home, is the world’s oldest river, even older than the Appalachian Mountains. Its banks, coast if you will, hold the shared memories of my childhood.

The Tennessee River was my childhood playground, uh, play water! Swimming, water skiing, leaping from the bluffs into the deep waters, floating in a tiny boat next to a string of big barges being lifted by the lock at Wilson Dam, exploring Shoals Creek… best wet memories!

I’m old enough to remember it started as a “web blog.” • Rode in a wagon behind a mule to go see the house where my daddy was born. • Had an aileron rolling jet ride with officer “Thor,” just back from Vietnam. • Crawled around inside The Enola Gay when it was in pieces at The Smithsonian’s aircraft graveyard. • Tossed 160 newspapers from a speeding motorcycle every day rain or shine. • All before I was twenty-one; then things got really interesting…
