Me & MaryJane – a love story

I can’t say it was love at first sight. I’d turned down a toke at least a half dozen times before someone I trusted passed me a joint. How can you not love something that mitigates a lifelong pain, for the first time.

My path of crime began half a century ago; a crying shame. Mr. Goody marred both shoes with illegal ashes. My anguish for venturing outside expectations was difficult to put down.

Thankfully, sooner rather than later, I understood that the herb we were given, is ours. No need to carry that guilt.

A most dangerous thing about MaryJane was always the boys in blue intent on breaking up the relationship, the hard way. Second only to having transactions with suppliers who peddled drugs, any drugs, for profit. Thank the lord for decriminalization!

I returned to the Gulf Coast in the fall of 2003 to care for my mother the last eight months of her life. When I offered her a toke to ease the misery of chemo, she trusted me, but she could not bear the shame if her friends found out.

I am offering these cannabis blogs out in the open, on the commons, for the sake of the dear hearts like my mother, who need not feel ashamed.
